Believe it or not, that remote came with a $1400 SCD-XA5400ES SACD player. Very cheap junk, and Sony can do better. The player itself is very nice. Interestingly, Sony does not seem to change codes for remotes very often. I have a great remote for a 1991-vintage STR-GX909ES receiver that will operate the SACD player. I'm hunting for a vintage remote with metal cover to replace the cheap one.
Of course such an upgrade must done correctly, as doing it on the cheap might actually degrade your stereo. Or for that matter a Belgian product costing n-times the price of the Sam Adams and tasting like a nondescript mixture of various bodily fluids.
i never knew beer could beer could fix steros jk lol
ReplyDeletei have the same remote at home
